  Story

  This review’s late to the party, but I’ll chip in my family’s thoughts in case there are any other Wii-owning Cars fans out there still on the fence about this one.

  To put it short: Cars fan? Buy this. Not a Cars fan? Nothing here for you.

  Let’s face it, young or old, you don’t buy a CARS game expecting Gran Turismo. You buy a CARS game because you like the characters, and you enjoy the unique experience of racing around in a living, breathing (they don’t have lungs, but they definitely inhale and exhale) automobile while other vehicles taunt you and Doc Hudson offers encouragement over the radio. In what other race game can you play as an aging Sheriff car who–as the race begins–sighs, “Am I getting too old for this sort of race? I sure hope not.” Then, after pulling off a tight maneuver, chuckles “I didn’t know I could still do that!” and, upon winning, declares “Sit-choo-ation is under control.” (Or, in a loss, grumps, “This is a complete and total disgrace!”) These cars have personalities. Their mood changes depending on their place in the race, they whoop with joy when catching big air, and they yelp when they hit obstacles. THAT is why ya buy a CARS game, and this game delivers that element in great generous heaps of humor and fun.

  If you’re a huge fan of the movie, you’ll enjoy this game a lot. You’ll just learn to avoid the problem areas and spend more time with the sections that work great.

  * Better controls this time around–Wii Wheel works great with this one.
  * Sheriff’s a playable racer again!

As someone who has purchased every THQ wrestling game for years, I had been eagerly anticipating this latest release. Unfortunately, after playing the game I was left with a feeling of disgust instead.

So far so good with this replacement laser. It’s been a few weeks now and I have had no reoccurring problems. I have heard of replacement lenses wearing out within a few months time, and I will be sure to append this review if such a thing occurs, but so far it appears to be smooth sailing.
If you are tech savvy enough to do the repair yourself I would recommend buying this part, its certainly cheaper and quicker than sending in your console to the repair shop.
The box I saved is one of the big 60GB, I do not know if a different part is needed for one of the newer generation playstations. Good luck to anyone attempting a repair
So first of all I heard from around the internet that replacing the laser is a bad idea because it dies out fast and still costs a decent amount. I am here to tell you that I have had mine for over a month with NO problems at all! The reason i replaced it in the first place was because it was reading games just fine, but would start to skip, mute out all vocals (not sounds or music for some reason) and then freeze. Replacing the laser has fixed all those problems except that the motors that take the disc in and the optical sensor broke, so discs will not go in but that is from my carelessness opening the blu0ray case. I have found out i can leave the system open and place the disc under the magnet sensor manually though, with some technical skill. As always, watch some tutorial videos on youtube and make sure you know what you’re doing. Once you get the entire thing open, replacing the laser part is EXTREMELY easy! All you need is the old white piece. All in all, this piece is great and makes your ps3 new!
I bought this replacement laser because my playstation 3 (60GB model) would no longer read blu-ray discs. I was concerned that when I replaced the original laser in my system I would lose backwards compatibility.

But since I replaced it nearly a month ago I’ve been able to play all my games, including old ps2 games, and it even sped up loading times slightly. It was very easy to install as well, just google’d a how-to and it only took me about 10 minutes. Just make sure you get the right screw drivers for the job.

I believe it’s not…Just about any Third-Party game is consistent with its story no matter what console it’s on

Question by Sommer: In freeplay mode of Lego Harry Potter Wii, how can I get a player to use lumos to scare away the green vines?
In free play mode of Lego Harry Potter for Wii, since I can’t change spells, only characters by hitting the 1 or 2 button, I can’t seem to figure out how to get rid of the green vine things that come out of the ground or wrap around objects. No character I have so far seems to be able to use their wand as a light. Do I need a specific character?

i dont know honestly, i havent gotten that far in the game yet. i got this morning and have been playing it on and off throught out the day, i just hate the save system so far
