This game is awesome. I bought this game with my daughter and we wanted to check the reviews, but there were none. My daughter decided to open it anyway and she played it for 5 hours straight, no breaks. OMG! She says that it’s really addicting and that even at the hardish times, she says that it’s still fun for a challenge. And just a tip, when you are done playing and want to stop and when you go to “exit to map” or “exit to menu” it will say “every thing that wasn’t saved will be gone”, when it saves-a hippo’s head wil spin on the left, that’s when it’s saving.
This is another decent movie-based video games aimed at the younger generation. Your objectives are multifold but aimed at saving animals in the African Savannah from ‘human predators’. You play one of the animals in the Madagaskar crew, Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo and others such as the penquins through multiple levels.

The animation and dialogues are humorous. The game play is mildly challenging (kids under 5 might need some occasional help) and has a number of very different objectives. Due to variety in action and gameplay, it is not boring at all. There are mild onjectives like taking pictures of animals/finding stuff around or a path to go to the next objective. There are also some challenging ones such as navigating through a path of scorpions, eagles and deep valleys or chasing human guards away by throwing soda cans at them etc.

There is also multi-player mode (upto 4 players) for some of the minigames most of which are quite a bit of fun. Do keep in mind that these games are aimed at kids under 10.

One bad aspect about the game is the camera angle. It does not change intuitively – sometimes it does, but is very slow. So you end up falling off cliffs or boxes when you try to turn around or go back. could be frustrating for kids. You can change the camera angle with the keypad though.
This is one of the best video games for the entire family that I’ve ever seen for the Wii platform. It’s a true delight.

Unlike some of the Wii games ties to movies, Escape 2 Africa does not take you though the movie, recreating the adventure from the point of view of various characters. This game has you manipulating the main characters in different challenges ranging from taking photographs to recovering various things the penguins need to fix up the airplane from the humans, to attempting to cure various animal ailments with carefully applied potions, to playing a game of soccer; and many, many more.

There are about 12 different levels in the game, with miniature games and levels in each one. They range from simple enough for a six year old to work, to games that will try the patience of adults. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa packs more games onto one disk than any movie-related video game we’ve ever purchased. This one was the winner of the video game Christmas sweepstakes going away.

If you have small children and they have seen the movie, by all means buy this game for them. You will be guaranteeing them days of video game enjoyment. I don’t see this one getting old for my son any time soon. Neither will you.

We are a family of four and it’s hard to find a fun game that is multi-player. This game is fantastic! My ten and twelve year old daughters loved it. It gives you the option of using the balance board or wii remote. Only one person can use the balance board since most of the time you are all four playing at the same time, but that was fine for us. The balance board is a little touchy and hard to use at first, but definitely gets easier with practice. Controlling the game with the wii remote is much easier to learn. The game has lots of customization built in for character clothing and boards. The entire family can play in career mode and all the gameplay you do in career mode counts towards your goals. Definitely one of the best group play games!
I loved Road Trip, but really didn’t think this game was going to be THAT much better. It was BECAUSE I loved Road Trip so much that I didn’t think this could do more than measure up, which would have been enough to make the game worth playing. This takes the concept to a whole new level though. Instead of riding around for fun and doing random tricks with the occasional competition, this one is all ABOUT competition on a global scale. Travel all over the world again, but this time compete and gain in ranking as you do so. The levels are amazing and the challenges are plenty. The Balance Board makes this so much fun, adding a sense of realism that you couldn’t get with the mote alone. An awesome game in a now awesome series.
I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband. After watching the 2010 Winter Olympics he and my 6 year old son become Shaun White fans. So when
I heard this game was good for all ages I thought this would be good game for them to play together. I wasn’t disapointed! They played for hours and to my delight my daughter loves it as well. This is a great family game good for all ages young and old,
male or female. We also enjoyed the music that is played in the background. I would definitely recommend this game. I didn’t buy the snowboard accessory because I was afraid it would cause a fight as to who would get to play on it. They have just as much if not more fun without it. So, if you’re worried about not having the snowboard accessory I would say it’s not necessary.

Description of Battle of Giants Dinosaur Strike

Customer Reviews

I saw this game at an event where a ton of kids tried it. They really had a blast playing it together. The graphics looked pretty good for a Wii game and the dinosaurs looked really nice. The music was impressive; a developer told us it was composed by the same guy who made the music for Avatar and King Kong. I talked to a few adults around me and they only had positive comments. I think it’s a fun fighting game for kids. I’m definitely buying it for my 9y.o. nephew for Christmas.
This game is awesome! My family loves it. From ages 8-30, it’s a hit. This game is for children, but adults can have fun as well. In my family, the CHILDREN think the evolutions are “cool,” “wicked,” “tough,” and so on. They compete to see whose dinosaur is upgraded more. Great game for taking out some frustration without attacking renderings of people. Also, there are more than two combos. By not simply tapping buttons, my niece was achieving 2-5 combos while holding one or two buttons down at the same time. The “Dino Strike,” “Mega Strike,” and “Super Strike” additions are fun and take some timing as well as effort. Additionally, holding the C and Z buttons allow you to defend and block entirely. When combined with the A and B combinations, the kids have a blast! The game is simple, but very good.
Fun game. this game is great I got it for Christmas, It has over 18 dinosaurs and you can create and customize your unique dinosaur. and can give it horns, feathers, and more health.
It doesn’t have brontosaurus or Spinosaurus. and I know 2 codes for this game.
Neo Ankylosaurus 13578 and for Gorgoraptor 23587. and you have Versus, Domination, and Tournament, there you will fight Monster Truck.

We rented this game last week from our local video store. The dd has been playing it ever since. I had to demand her to take breaks and she watches the clock like a hawk so that she can get back on it as soon as time is up. I like the jazzy music and she seems to appreciate the easy to read on-screen directions. Watching her play the game makes me want to take her to see the movie even more. I asked her what her favorite part of the game was and she said “kissing the frog”(???)

12.Language support in English, Spanish and French
We were really disappointed in this game. We say the movie and loved it. We got the Dora games (which are AWESOME)and wanted something for our older daughter (she is almost 6). This game has nice music and cute graphics (great if you liked the movie), but the actual game is very difficult and the kids lost interest immediately. It is not meant for adults, but kids have a hard time with it. It felt more like a movie than a game during several parts. Every time you start over you have to sit through lots of dialogue and doesn’t really help the game. Would not reccomend. Maybe they just rushed this one, and a better one will come out soon.
We purchased this for our 4yr old daughter for xmas to go along with her new wii. We love it. Our 2 yr old likes to dance to the music while big sister plays. Her favorite part is cooking the food…spicy gumbo, cake, etc. I like the dress up segment and the music games. We enjoy playing this game together…it’s only been a couple of days but she has requested to play this everyday so far.

I loved the Madagascar movies so I really wanted this game. The mini clips in the game are pretty hilarious but the game itself could use some work here and there. The thing I really don’t like about it is that you can’t save the game until you’ve reached the checkpoint. It’s really aggravating if you can get past one part of the level but not the next part, so every time you “die” you have to start over ALL THE WAY BACK from where your last checkpoint was, which could be far. I’d much rather save the game where I want to. Some levels are a bit challenging but the fact you don’t lose lives in this game would be one of the better things for younger kids. It has mini games also. The Penguins mini games are more strategy type and the Mort pinball is just for fun. I haven’t beaten the game yet, and even though it sounds like I’m giving it a bad review, I’m going to continue to play it.
This game is a good choice for my animal crazy 8 year old. He says it’s “hard,” but I like it because he keeps at it for hours. He has enjoyed playing the different characters (the giraffe and zebra especially). I think it was a good choice for him!
this game came in on time and in good conditions. my kids didnt find this game too much fun and havent used it much!

Customer Reviews

I wanted to play this game for a while before I made a review to give a fair review.
First of all, I bought the game because I like games bundled with little toys. I really enjoyed Sega Bass Fishing, as well as the Bass Pro Shops Fishing.
That said, this game is in another class. First problem I had was with the rod attachment. Half the time you’re driving the boat, and it feels awkward with this attachment. Secondly, the nunchuck cord kept getting tangled. I ditched the attachment within the first hour. OKAY, now we’re talking! The game’s objective is different from any other fishing game. You must catch fish by going to a designated bubble point and fish. You must have the right bait, because if you don’t the fish will look at the bait with question marks around it’s head. So you switch baits until the fish eyes pop out and exclamation points appear around the fish. You reel in the fish, the nunchuck cord still gets tangled and you reel the fish in. There is a problem with this process at the later levels though. You must move the wiimote the same way as the on-screen diagram. The only problem is the wiimote must be turned sideways and then you shake it to the left or right. Moving the wiimote sideways and to the left is a very awkward and uncomfortable movement. After you reel the fish in, you drive back to your starting point and drop the fish off.
Driving the boat is another BIG problem. you must direct the boat by way of wiimote. the wiimote only turns the boat like 45 degrees. So what happens is you crash into barriers. Also, when you back the boat up, the wiimote seems to turn the boat the wrong way.
As the game goes on, you can unlock your Mii, but your Mii cannot be used in Tournament Mode, only in the Free Fishing Mode :-(
Overall, graphically very pleasing, but with all the aforementioned problems, the fun factor suffers.
My 7-yrs old son loves this game almost as much as he loves the real fishing on the lake! He got it among other birthday presents and it was an instant favorite. Contrary to other posts he doesn’t seem to experience any difficulties in using the fishing rod appliance. The nunchuck wire doesn’t get entangled either. I guess it depends on how fiercely you reel the fish in :) The game is very well made, it has nice graphics, no violence and just sheer fun to play. We’ve been Wii fans from the beginning of this console and I admit that this game stands out from the crowd.
The fishing action of the game is very fun, but the added “rod and reel” for the controller and nunchuck is not worth the money. The game works just fine (almost better) without it.

Description of Boom Blox Bash Party

Get ready for even more blox-busting action with BOOM BLOX Bash Party for Wii, the sequel to the critically-acclaimed BOOM BLOX game for Wii. Developed by EA in collaboration with director and producer Steven Spielberg, BOOM BLOX Bash Party takes destruction to new heights, providing the ultimate social gaming experience. BOOM BLOX Bash Party will get your party started with new Versus, Co-op and Team Play challenges – twice as many multiplayer challenges as the original BOOM BLOX.

Gameplay
Like the original BOOM BLOX game Bash Party is based around fast-paced gameplay that utilizes players’ reflexes, dexterity, and problem-solving skills. During the action players use the Wii Remote to direct objects and forces toward structures made of blocks in order to knock them over. There is also Jenga like gameplay during which players pull blocks, with the goal of toppling as many of them as possible, but without bringing down the whole structure. In doing this players have to deal with the different types of blocks in play. Some of these include: gem blocks, blocks with point values attached, explosive blocks that detonate on contact, vanishing blocks that disappear when struck, wood blocks, and steel blocks. In addition, as the game progresses strategies may change, meaning that players must be flexible in order to succeed.

New Characters and Environments
Explore exciting new themed worlds with unique physics and dramatic visuals. Create chaos, watching puzzles and explosions unfold, while drifting under water, or floating in zero gravity. For even more strategic destruction, BOOM BLOX Bash Party also features all-new Blox, tools and characters. Experiment with the explosive and infectious Virus Blox, or the ever-moving Conveyor Blox. Experiment with new shapes like Cylinders and Wedges, or use the new Cannon and Slingshot toys to sling and launch blox. Even the new cast of characters is in on the action. Grab hold of the characters and send them flying. They are just like Blox now, so you can topple, bash and sling them like never before.

More Levels Than Ever
From the depths of the sea to the far reaches of outer space, BOOM BLOX Bash Party features more than 400 completely new levels. Explore exciting new themed worlds with unique physics and dramatic visuals. Create chaos, watching puzzles and explosions unfold, while drifting under water, or floating in zero gravity.

Key Features

  • More Than 400 New Blox-Busting Levels – All-new explosive puzzle action builds upon your BOOM BLOX favorites while delivering tons of levels to explore, conquer and remix.
  • The Ultimate Party Experience – More multiplayer action than ever before. Play crazy new levels with or against friends in cooperative, competitive and the all-new team-based action.
  • Spectacular New Worlds – Beautiful themed worlds take you from mysterious planets to pirate coves and beyond. Battle giant squids or bash alien spaceships as you explore these stunning new environments.
  • New Blox. New Shapes. New Tools – From Cylinders and Paint Blox to the Virus Ball and the Slingshot, you won

    Customer Reviews

In a world full of sequels, it is refreshing to see a sequel truly improve upon the original while still remaining true to the core gameplay. With hundreds of levels and puzzles, the game is huge, but the same great gameplay is still present and the emphasis on multi-player, both competitive and co-op, has been increased immensely. Online functionality has been improved so much over the previous version, you almost don’t realize you’re working with Nintendo’s stringent limitations that shackle most online Wii functionality.

For those of you that never played Boom Blox, here’s the quick rundown. Boom Blox is a physics action-puzzler. It is kind of like Jenga, but you use the Wii remote pointer to throw bowling balls, throw baseballs, launch paint balls, shoot cannons, fire lasers, grab, grip, and throw items, and use a slingshot to either destroy (or sometimes build) your way through puzzles. This is the type of game the Wii was designed for with deep and imaginative level designs and dozens of ways to interact with the world laid down before you.

The new version has a lot of improvements over the last one.

Most multi-player modes only require one remote, which is very nice if you don’t have a full set of controllers.

A ridiculous number of levels. Best of all, they are well designed levels. So far, based the nearly 100 or so that I’ve played, I can say the vast majority are very enjoyable and none of them have been bad. Getting bronze on most levels is pretty easy, but silver and gold medals can be challenging, and a few still have me scratching my head wonder how I’m supposed to get that perfect score that will bump me from a high Silver score to that coveted gold medal. Levels are now set in even more locales than before, including underwater and outer space. I particularly enjoy the outer space levels.

An improved level unlock mechanism. You now collect Boom Bux, which can be used to purchase and unlock levels if you are too impatient to play through all of the prerequisite levels and achievements. With hundreds of levels in the game, I think this is a great feature. Although I’ve focused mostly on multi-player, I’ve observed that on every single one of the single-player levels that I’ve played I found a secret Boom Bux block.

Fewer “shooter” levels, which were honestly the first game’s weakest point.

Stronger emphasis on multi-player with more multi-player modes and a ton more multi-player levels, both competitive and co-op.

Smoother physics engine. This version seems to run smoother than the previous game, but the game can still experience a bit of slow down if too much happens on screen.

Improved level builder support, which is directly tied to the online experience. My only regret is that my own personal creativity is pretty much limited to making symmetrical geometric patterns.

Vastly improved online experience. Free download levels are already available and users can share their own custom levels with other players across the world without having to use Friend Codes!

Very good music throughout most of the game, with only a few exceptions.

I do have a few minor complaints about the game, but they are very few. Competitive multi-player games tend to favor the first player slightly, but the game includes a “revenge” mechanic that mostly makes up for that shortcoming. The animals are still kind of annoying, especially with regards to their sound effects, but at least their animations have been diversified and been made more interesting. They still have the Happy-Tree-Friends-shoved-into-a-box look, which is kind of nice in a twisted sort of way. Like I said before, my complaints are really minor and I have yet to experience any gameplay issues that really, really bothered me.

All in all, I highly recommend this game to every Wii owner. This is the type of game the Wii was designed for. Despite it’s cutesy art style and kid-friendly atmosphere, Boom Blox series isn’t a gimmick like a lot of junk shoveled out onto the Wii. Hard core gamers will find an amazing amount of depth and challenge while casual gamers, parents, and families will find an accessible game that almost anyone can pick up and have fun with. Multi-player modes definitely steal the show and create a classic party game atmosphere. The replay value for this game is through the roof. The 400 levels, level editor, and content available for download definitely make this game an amazing value.
There have been a few awesome improvements over the first game which gives a refreshing new experience to an already established game. I can’t tell if the board areas are larger and more detailed, but it sure feels that way. There is much more destruction to be had in this new version. It feels as though they have re-invented this game for it’s second iteration and they did an excellent job. It is still just as much fun throwing items at towers of blocks as it was in the first one. Each level is not just about knocking everything down, there are significant strategies involved that bring a new meaning to the “easy to learn, difficult to master” clich

We were excited to get our hands on this game as our boys, ages 5 and 6, really enjoy the original Wii Carnival. I think this Carnival is better suited to adults, and adults will find it more enjoyable. Graphics are improved. The game consists of courses (only three are unlocked at original play) that can be played in either single or multi-player mode. The three easy courses are opened for play first and include a farm theme, dinosaur theme (a house fave!) and a fairy tale theme. The courses are fun, and I find myself wishing they were real. :-) One of the more enjoyable aspects of game includes the fact there are mini-games in the holes when you enter a certain obstacle or area. In the farm area for example, heading into the hen house brings up a mini game of trying to catch eggs and coins in your basket. It’s quite a hoot! The mini games aren’t overly annoying, don’t take too long (but long enough to grab a drink or snack), and break up the golf game. We’ve only had it for a short time and haven’t unlocked the other courses, but the boys love spending their coins in the Pro Shop to purchase different golfing costumes. After the boys hit the sack, my hubby and I found ourselves challenging each other to a game or two. The only challenge we’ve had is getting the boys to understand how to increase or decrease the strength of their swing. It’s a little awkward for the younger golfers at first, but they are getting it down. It doesn’t stop them from enjoying the game or slow the game down. We can’t wait to unlock the other courses! Have fun!
I too have and enjoy the original Carnival game so when I saw this I knew I had to try it. The graphics are pretty good, though there are some courses that are a bit dark and hard to see what’s going on (Dinosaur theme). The Easy courses are easy but the Hard courses are REALLY HARD (at least for me!). I have to respectfully disagree with Brandon though, I am a 42 year old woman and the only one in the house who likes Wii games (hubby is all into PS3 and daughter is 15, and well, being that age, hates everything) so I play alone. It is FUN to challenge myself. Also, you have the option of playing with the Carnie guy if you want a little competition. The game makes you think about the best angles and the outcome of your shot so it’s not just a stupid mindless game. I have to be careful about what time of day I start to play because if it is close to dinner time and I’m in the middle of trying to master a difficult course, ain’t no one eating dinner that night unless they call delivery! LOL.
This game takes the best aspect of the Wii Best Selling Title “Carnival Games” and moves it to the next level. I had a lot of fun playing Mini Golf, the courses are very diverse and the Wii game play is truly superb.
This game has lots of replay value, each golf course offers something unique. It is a great title to have in your collection, fun to play by yourself and even better to play with others.

This game had great graphics but it was a bit hard for follow for my 5 yr old. I recommend it to older experinced kids.
My six and three year olds love this game, they would spend hours on it if let them. My girls don’t play nintendo or wii, or any of the famous games out there, so, going by what other reviewers say, maybe this game is for people like my family, not big gamers, just play for a little fun with moderation. Maybe after playing those other famous games this one might be not so much fun (again, going by what other people are saying, as I am not experienced at those games either). There is beautiful music playing the whole time they are running the game and they loved that, it’s really sweet and girlie. I’m not an expert at graphics, but I like these, I think the game is fantastic. We borrowed this from the library first and it has been such a hit that we decided to purchase it. Definitely recommend for girls.
Disney Interactive isn’t much to be desired when it comes to PC gaming.

They mostly cater to the Wii console which then in turn caters to the younger Disney age range. If you have a Wii, get it on the Wii. This PC port doesn’t even do multiplayer.

Graphics are okay, game play was obviously designed for the WiiMote. So good luck…

Not really a “game” but a collection of “activities” in which you compete against other players, or in this case, computer AIs.

Cheap price, for a reason… was highly disappointed, kind of like the movie. :-S Niece lost interest in game when she couldn’t beat the AI and collect her curtains
